Members Pack the House at Caballero Campaign Kick-Off

Over 20 ULTCW members made a show of force at the Aug. 21 kick-off event for Anna Caballero’s campaign for State Senate in Salinas, CA.

The members in attendance peppered Caballero with questions before deciding whether to support the current Assembly Member in her run for higher office.

“She met with our members, and they put tough questions to her,” said Region 5 organizer Erik Larsen, who attended the event. “They were asking, 'Will you march with us in Sacramento?’ ‘Will you write a letter in support of home care?’ ‘Will you get a conversation going with the governor?'"

When Caballero responded in the affirmative, members broke out in spontaneous cheers and chants of ‘Si se puede!’

“We were the most organized, the most spirited. ULTCW was in THE HOUSE,” said Larsen. “It was a great crew.”

All 20 ULTCW members in attendance volunteered on the spot for get-out-the-vote activities.
